Claire is an experienced mediator and counsellor specialising in workplace relationships. She has worked with small to large employers with workplace disputes aiding them to resolve disputes. Claire has a special interest in workplace bullying, team dysfunction and relationship breakdowns.

Claire’s experience includes conducting investigations, facilitating meetings and mediating. Claire has 10 years’ experience working with targets of workplace bullying, employees who have had an allegation made against them and employers. Claire also has experience in managing employees including holding a regional management position. Claire’s approach to mediation is facilitative. She is committed to promoting participant’s self-determination and the creation of capacity for the future. 

Claire is on the panel of mediators of the Resolution Institute. Claire is a registered counsellor and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. Claire is also a registered Drug and Alcohol Specialist and Clinical Supervisor with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners Association of Aotearoa New Zealand. She is also accredited as a Family Dispute Resolution Provider. Claire is also a Family Court appointed Counsellor and registered Victim Support Counsellor. She is an employee assistance programme counsellor and critical incident stress management first responder.

Claire has a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Auckland and a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regent’s University London. She also has a Bachelor’s with Honours in Biosciences and a Post-graduate Diploma in Health Education and Promotion. In her earlier career Claire worked in healthcare in the U.K. with the NHS and ethnic minority charities. Later she has held project management and management roles in NGO’s and the three Auckland District Health Boards.
