An arbitrator, conciliator and mediator with rural specialization being a registered valuer and primary industry consultant with over 40 years experience.
Established the firm of Larmers in 1973 and merged with the national TelferYoung Group in 2000. Following 10 years with TelferYoung set up in independent practice again in April 2010 being sole director of LARMER ADVISORY LTD providing services in dispute resolution, litigation support, and consulting valuer, as well as discharging ongoing advisory / trustee duties.
Positions held include President Arbitrators and Mediators Institute 1996 – 1998; President Institute of Valuers 1993 – 1995; Member Valuers Registration Board 1996 – 2004; Chair National Panel of Conciliators; Additional Member High Court 2007.
Private sector appointments span the dispute resolution spectrum in the land and property, forestry, agribusiness and sharemilking sectors.
Ministerial appointments include membership of review committees advising on gasline easements over farmland, the Valuers Act 1948, the Maori Reserved Land Act 1955, and the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998. Arbitrations relating to treaty settlement land and crown forest licences have also been conducted.
